The two Sacramento men charged with attempted murder on suspicion of beating of a 65-year-old hotel worker were held to answer to the charges in San Mateo County Superior Court and will return for arraignment next month, a chief deputy district attorney said. Mualevu, 29, and Tikoisuva, 21, allegedly assaulted the hotel worker after he asked a group of people to keep the noise down in the room of the Regency Inn at 411 San Bruno Ave. Mualevu and Tikoisuva are scheduled for Superior Court arraignment at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 5, and both remain in custody on no-bail status.

A Denny’s restaurant at the Serramonte Shopping Center was robbed by three masked men early Friday morning, according to police.
The robbers, at least one of which was armed with a silver automatic handgun, stormed into the restaurant about 6:45 a.m. and told the workers and patrons to lie on the floor, Daly City police said.
