In court: Vutoro Mualevu, Isei TIikoisuva

The two Sacramento men charged with attempted murder on suspicion of beating of a 65-year-old hotel worker were held to answer to the charges in San Mateo County Superior Court and will return for arraignment next month, a chief deputy district attorney said. Mualevu, 29, and Tikoisuva, 21, allegedly assaulted the hotel worker after he asked a group of people to keep the noise down in the room of the Regency Inn at 411 San Bruno Ave. Mualevu and Tikoisuva are scheduled for Superior Court arraignment at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 5, and both remain in custody on no-bail status. A San Francisco man faces two years in prison for stalking and threatening his estranged wife, prosecutors said Friday. According to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, Saturnino Manganaan pleaded guilty on Friday in San Francisco Superior Court to two felony counts and admitted violating his probation for felony child abuse. Daly City restaurant robbed at gunpoint

A Denny’s restaurant at the Serramonte Shopping Center was robbed by three masked men early Friday morning, according to police. The robbers, at least one of which was armed with a silver automatic handgun, stormed into the restaurant about 6:45 a.m. and told the workers and patrons to lie on the floor, Daly City police said.
