A Denny’s restaurant at the Serramonte Shopping Center was robbed by three masked men early Friday morning, according to police.
The robbers, at least one of which was armed with a silver automatic handgun, stormed into the restaurant about 6:45 a.m. and told the workers and patrons to lie on the floor, Daly City police said.

Although officials are not releasing the name of a man fatally shot near a Hayward mall Thursday afternoon, the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau confirmed that the 20-year-old man was a San Francisco resident.
The shooting occurred around 4 p.m. in the area of the Southland Mall, located at 1 Southland Mall Drive, Hayward police Capt. Darryl McAllister said.

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a San Francisco man in the Mission district early Friday morning.
Responding to a report of gunfire at approximately 12:05 a.m., police officers found Samuel Mitchell, 47, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at 26th and Folsom streets.
Mitchell was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died from his wounds.
The police are searching for a man they believe is connected with the homicide, but have not arrested any suspects yet.
