The Warriors ensured they will play at least one more game at Oracle Arena this season after overcoming an eight point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the San Antonio Spurs 97-87 in overtime on Sunday.
With Stephen Curry hobbled by a sore ankle, the Warriors relied on their defense to hold the Spurs at bay, going on a 9-0 run to start overtime before San Antonio was able to answer. They scored only two points over the last 3:44 of regulation, as the Warriors closed out the game on a 19-5 run.

It’s been a stretch of struggles for Oakland, and no one on the A’s struggled more Sunday than Brandon Moss.
The right fielder struck out four times in a 6-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners, the A’s sixth loss in seven games. At a time when everything seems to be going wrong for the A’s, Moss had the toughest day of them all.
“I can’t feel much worse,” Moss said. “Four strikeouts on 14 pitches. You can’t do much worse. I guess I could have done it on 12.”

The way the Blackhawks have dominated, anything less than a trip to the Stanley Cup finals would be a disappointment for them.

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy had their best start ever Thursday in The Players Championship. It still wasn’t enough to catch Roberto Castro, who had never played the TPC Sawgrass and made a debut he won’t soon forget.
Castro hit shots into tap-in range on the famed 17th and 18th holes on his way to a 9-under 63 in perfect scoring conditions in the morning. He tied the course record held by Fred Couples and Greg Norman, and it gave him a three-shot lead — the largest 18-hole margin in 21 years at Sawgrass — over McIlroy and Zach Johnson.
