A Brentwood family is asking for the public's help in finding 21-year-old Victoria "Torrie" Stevenson who has been missing since her boyfriend dropped her off in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood last Friday. According to her stepfather, Michael Marden, Stevenson's boyfriend dropped her off at Market and Jones near World of Stereo for a job interview. The couple was supposed to meet up afterward, but Stevenson never showed up. Nobody has seen her or heard from her since. Read More

Marin County man recovering after mountain lion attack in Nevada County

A Marin County man is recovering at home after being attacked by a mountain lion in the Sierra Nevada foothills early Sunday morning. The 63-year-old man, who does not want to be identified for now, was in a sleeping bag on a sandbar along a tributary of the Yuba River near Nevada City when he was attacked around 1 a.m. Sunday, California Department of Fish and Game spokesman Patrick Foy said. Sheriff says Sierra Lamar was murdered; family maintains hope for safe return

Investigators believe the man arrested Monday in connection with Sierra LaMar’s disappearance kidnapped and murdered the 15-year-old Morgan Hill girl, but her family is maintaining hope that she is still alive. Fighting back tears, Sierra’s mother Marlene LaMar spoke at a news conference held at the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office in San Jose this morning. “I’m not giving up hope,” LaMar said. “Her body has not been found.” Read More
