SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Giants outfielder Andres Torres won’t play for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic and will be sidelined for at least a week because of a strained oblique. The Giants made the announcement Thursday, a day after he got hurt during a swing and had an MRI. Vogelsong pitched three more scoreless innings Wednesday in San Francisco's 8-8 tie with the Los Angeles Angels. "He really looked sharp," Bochy said.
