The Golden State Warriors knew they had let one slip away days before Christmas against the Los Angeles Lakers.
This time, Stephen Curry made sure history wouldn't repeat against another Western Conference opponent.
He scored Golden State's first 11 points, then hit 2 of 3 shots in the fourth quarter, including his fourth 3-pointer, to lead the Warriors over the Utah Jazz 94-83 on Wednesday night.

OAKLAND — Coach Mark Jackson said Saturday’s overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers wasn’t going to dampen the team’s Christmas spirit, saying that the Warriors are “very excited about where we are and are thrilled about where we’re headed.”While a big part of that optimism is coming from All-Star-caliber seasons from Stephen Curry and David Lee, an argument could be made that the most important player for the Warriors has been coming off the bench this season.

The moment Mark Jackson saw Stephen Curry return to the court in September for the first time since the point guard’s most recent right ankle surgery, he had an epiphany. Not the kind that comes to Jackson when he preaches from the pulpit for his ministry. I can really be a better coach this year,’” Jackson said, chuckling.

At first glance, that move doesn’t seem to have had much of an on-court impact, as Bogut did not play for the Warriors at all last season, and has played in only four games this season while still recovering from surgery on his ankle.

Warriors coach Mark Jackson has no problem admitting the Oklahoma City Thunder provide the blueprint for what he wants his team to become.
“This is certainly a model,” Jackson said. “They had a tough time early on, winning 20-something games and going through the process. But give this front office, ownership, coaching staff a lot of credit. They stayed through to the process.””
