Parting ways with two young players came at another cost.
The Warriors traded forward Jeremy Tyler to the Atlanta Hawks and guard Charles Jenkins to the Philadelphia 76ers in separate salary-shedding deals Thursday to get under the league’s luxury tax. SALT LAKE CITY — Al Jefferson scored 24 points, Gordon Hayward added 17 in his return from a shoulder injury and the Utah Jazz defeated the Warriors 115-101 Tuesday night to extend Golden State’s losing streak to six games.
Seven Jazz players scored in double figures and Utah got 47 points from its reserves.
The Jazz made 10 of 21 3-pointers, including three by Randy Foye.
Stephen Curry led Golden State with 29 points, Jarrett Jack had 19 off the bench and David Lee contributed 18 on 9-of-13 shooting.

The Warriors are hoping to emerge from the long All-Star break as a different team. Golden State will be attempting to snap a five-game losing streak when they visit the Utah Jazz today.
Golden State was one of the best stories of the first half as it ascended to the top half of the West and knocked off several contenders along the way. But the road has not been very kind recently and the Warriors have lost their last six games to teams that would be in the playoffs if the season ended today.
