OAKLAND — Golden State Warriors guard Jarrett Jack has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for "verbal abuse" of an official.
The league announced the fine Sunday.
The incident occurred at the conclusion of Golden State's 118-116 loss at the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.
Some Warriors players were upset over the officiating late in the game, including the free throw disparity. The Lakers shot 50 free throws, while the Warriors had 16 attempts.

The game was simple: first person to make seven shots from each of the five spots beyond the 3-point line wins. Or, first person to miss two shots in a row loses. Both had two teammates — one to rebound, and another to make a clean pass.

NEWARK — From a mental standpoint, it would’ve been easy for Warriors center Andrew Bogut to wave the white flag earlier this season.
After all, the 7-foot, 260-pounder played only 12 of the team’s first 54 games because of left ankle surgery, and he missed an additional six games at the end of February due to back spasms. For a while, it seemed like Bogut would never be healthy enough to play significant minutes and help the Warriors (42-32) in their playoff push. They will be trying to put some more space between themselves and the rest of the pack at the bottom of the Western Conference playoff bracket when they host the Sacramento Kings today. The Warriors have won six of their last eight and have Stephen Curry, who is averaging 28.6 points and shooting over 50 percent from 3-point range in the last five games, playing at an MVP level.
