The 49ers signed Adam Snyder for two years, re-uniting the guard with the team after a one-year absence.
Snyder, 31, appeared in 121 games during his eight-year NFL career that began with the Niners in 2005. He spent the 2012 season with the Arizona Cardinals.
He signed a five-year, $17.5 million deal with the Cardinals last year, but lasted just one season. He was shoved out by Arizona’s new coaching staff after the organization used its first-round pick on North Carolina’s Jonathan Cooper.
Now that the smoke has cleared and the NFL draft, all that’s left this offseason is to ponder who has positioned themselves the best to win Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2, 2014. The NFL announced preseason schedules Thursday, and the 49ers will take a trip to Kansas City in the second week of the preseason to face Smith and his new team the Chiefs.
