America’s Cup organizers have announced the descriptions of the race courses to be used in the race finals on the San Francisco Bay next year.
The courses for the July and August 2013 Challenger Series and the September finals “will force tight, close and aggressive racing, making for spectacular competition,” organizers said in a statement Saturday.
“The racing should be difficult, the courses should be challenging, the competition should push the best in our business out of their comfort zone for some spectacular sailing,” regatta director Iain Murray said.
Details are available here.
Also, a proposed race area close to the shoreline has been defined that will give spectators “a ringside seat,” organizers said.
