At least twice now during the House floor debate on spending cuts, Democratic members (it might have been Rep. Norm Dicks, D-Wash., both times, but the second one was off camera) have tried to object to Republicans speaking, on the grounds that they were speaking for a second time on the same amendment. Both times, the charge was incorrect. Just now, they apparently mistook Rep. Charles Boustany, R-La., for Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La.
On an earlier amendment, Rep. Dicks mistook Rep, Lee Terry, R-Neb., for someone else who had already spoken.
