Academy of Art runner adds a couple more national titles — College Roundup

Mobolade Ajomale continued his record-setting track career at Academy of Art University, setting the fastest time this season in Division II in two events. Running at the Indoor Track and Field National Championship on Saturday, Ajomale ran a time of 6.60 second in the 60m. He ran the 200m in 20.91 seconds. The victories were Ajomale’s fifth and sixth national titles in his career, which has seen him be an All-American 11 times.

SFSU

The San Francisco State University baseball team (6-15, 6-10) defeated Cal State San Marcos, 9-7, at home on Sunday. The win allowed the Gators claim the series 3-1. Shortstop Jack Kritsch was the star of the set. In the win on Sunday, Kritsch hit 3-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs. During the series, he hit 9-for-18 with seven runs and five RBI. First baseman/outfielder Harley Lopez went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs, and hit 8-for-17 over the series.

USF

The University of San Francisco baseball team (9-6) won both games in a Saturday doubleheader against Xavier University (4-12). The first game was a 8-5 win, while the second was a 1-0 pitching duel. Landen Bourassa pitched a brilliant game in the second matchup, lasting 6.1 innings and striking out seven batters with only two walks.

CCSF

The City College of San Francisco women’s soccer team announced that four of its players from the 2017-18 team will be transferring to play for four-year universities. Freshman forward Sophia Jones signed with the University of Northern British Columbia, sophomore midfielder Angelica Gonzalez with San Francisco State, sophomore middy Danielle Nicotera is going to University of Eastern Oregon, while redshirt freshman Lara Pficke will transfer to Academy of Art University.
