Muni buses are snarled near the Haight Ashbury neighborhood, causing service gaps throughout San Francisco on Thursday evening.

The 4/20 marijuana celebration at Golden Gate Park has various Muni lines seeing major delays, including the 33-Stanyan, 43-Masonic, the 5-Fulton and 5-Rapid, 37-Corbett, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.

The NextMuni prediction system may also not work for those lines, the SFMTA tweeted. That’s a common problem, as replacement buses aren’t often registered into the NextMuni system.

The N-Judah light-rail line is also seeing minor delays due to the event, according to the SFMTA.

Shuttle service was provided to attendees of the 4/20 event at Golden Gate Park today, said Sarah Madland, spokesperson for the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department.

Still, SFMTA tweeted Thursday evening, its lines are so delayed “customers should consider alt transit options.”

That may be particularly problematic for riders of the 5-Fulton and 5-Rapid, some of the busiest bus lines in The City. The two lines’ ridership is about 22,000 daily boardings, according to the SFMTA.
